Monica Fuijkschot

Monica Fuijkschot (Gatineau, QC) is the Director General of Published Heritage at Library and Archives Canada since May 2017. She is responsible for the acquisition, description of published heritage (Canadiana) at LAC in all of its formats. Monica graduated from Syracuse University in 2000, and has held various positions in federal libraries before becoming an executive in the Public Service and taking on expanded roles in the information field. She has managed diverse portfolios such as Library transformation, Access to information and Privacy, Information Management, Identity Management and Security, and Web and IT. In this morning’s presentation she will be focusing on the implementation of the OCLC system to replace the Union Catalogue.
